About Us

Company History
The history of Autosonics began in 1964 with the installation of aftermarket eight track players into automobiles.Technology, however, evolved quickley and so did the needs of the automotive world. Soon after we made our break into the cellular phone market. We would eventually become one of the top cellular retailers in Illinois. With the invention of the first mobile car phone, Autosonics was at the frontline of Mobile Installation. As commutes became longer and people spent more time in their vehicles,
it gave us the opportunity to expand our services. We began offering installations on stereo systems, CD players and changers, mobile video, car security, radar detectors and remote starts. Today, in its fourth decade of business, Autosonics is still able to provide customers with solutions for all aspects of their mobile electronic needs. If you want great sound or if your just looking for a flashy gadget, we have the solution. No request is too large, for we accommodate all aspects of aftermarket products.
Mario Bartucci
President

As a young child, Mario was always interested in electronics. He fixed his first clothes dryer at 8 years old and installed his first stereo system into his own vehicle at 16. Not only did he love electronics he was good at it, too. From there, Mario began a career as a mobile installer. His background includes Circuit City and Best Buy before landing a job at Autosonics in 2003. After finishing college and receiving his degree in 2006, Mario pursued a career in Information Systems Security, but could not leave his passion for the mobile world behind. He continued on to become one of the top installers at Autosonics. In 2009, he became the proud owner of Autosonics. Mario is M.E.C.P. Certified and considered a master installer.

Apollo
Resident Amstaff
Apollo is our resident Amstaff owned by Mario who frequently accompanies his dad to work. He enjoys greeting all of our customers and getting the occasional treat from our regulars - although we're pretty sure he wouldn't complain if the treats were more than just occasional! He has been hanging out at the shop since he was 3 months old and loves to meet everyone that comes to visit. He will gladly bring you his rope toy for a game of tug! He is a very happy boy who is truley an ambassador of the bully breed! Stop by and meet Apollo...and don't forget the biscuits!
